Samantha also gave him a custom boudoir photo album done by yours truly, Norma Cabrera. Carlo had no idea about it and was shocked! She actually had to take a day off from work to do it. The book said “Samantha Dias” on the cover.the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0004the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0005Carlo and Samantha are so thoughtful that they wanted to make sure they enjoyed their big day to the fullest.  So with out seeing each other we managed to get a sweet moment before the ceremony.the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0008the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0009the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0013the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0011Of course we had to have some fun with the bridesmaids shot!the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0014the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0015the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0016the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0017Carlo painted their initials on a tree so that Samantha would see it as she was walking down the aisle. the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0018This necklace was given to Carlo’s daughter symbolizing that now they become one family. One with a veil and one with a top hat. We put a red fingerprint on there while all of our guests put their fingerprints in 2 different color blues for the leaves. They were so happy they did this, looking at the tree now makes them smile and brings them so much joy.the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0039Samantha and Carlo custom ordered 8 huge canvases of their engagement session that we shot in San Francisco. They were displayed along the back wall as art canvas. They looked stunning!the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0040the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0042the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0041In their “in loving memory area” they had 3 canvas pictures of us that represented family members who have passed away. One represented Samantha’s 2 grandpas and 1 of Carlo’s grandpas which was the one that they had an acores throbe wrapeed around both of them. Another of them holding a balloon represented Samantha’s baby cousin, and the final one represented Carlo’s aunt, uncle and cousins. In the middle of these canvas’s they hung up an old antique window that belonged to the family of 4 that passed away, and Carlo made a sign that said love on the window and below it said “we know you would be here today if heaven wasn’t so far away”. Really meant a lot to the bride and groom.the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0047the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0046the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0043At the wedding Carlo mentioned in his speech, that because he is so happy with Samantha, he has the desire to paint again. He surprised Samantha’s parents with a painting. On the painting it said “Agape” which is the highest form of love in the bible. He thanked them for having Samantha. Carlo also surprised Samantha with a painting. It was a silhouette of them kissing on the dance floor for their first dance. She was amazed by the painting and how much it resembeled them that night. She loved it!!!the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0045the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0051the_century_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0050The night was full of sweet moments and emotions. JP and Eduína met in 1992 in school in Angra do Heroismo, there hometown. They had mutual friends and it was through those mutual friends that they were reacquainted when they were back home for summer vacation in 2010. The next couple of years they would run into each other in the summer and sometimes spend an afternoon hanging out at the local swimming area. In the summer of 2012, after a few of those afternoons spent talking and swimming, they decided to try and make a long distance relationship work. Eduína visited twice a year for the next couple of years and, in 2014, they took a road trip throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Oregon, Washington and even Vancouver in Canada. On Christmas Day, 2014, JP proposed via Skype after having his sister arrange for the ring to be given to Eduína at his sisters house in Saratoga which is where they would have their wedding reception at.saratogo_wedding_photos_norma_cabrera_photography_0001The rings were brought from Joalharia Brasil there hometown of Angra do Heroismo. This one single wedding band that Eduína is holding in her hands was her parents 25th wedding anniversary ring. Her father has not worn it for a long time. saratogo_wedding_photos_norma_cabrera_photography_0002Eduína placed the ring on her father on her wedding day in memory of their love.saratogo_wedding_photos_norma_cabrera_photography_0003The tiara was borrowed from Alice Avila, sister in law who wore it when she married her brother in law, JPs brother.saratogo_wedding_photos_norma_cabrera_photography_0004A special moment with her mother right before she walks down the aisle.saratogo_wedding_photos_norma_cabrera_photography_0005saratogo_wedding_photos_norma_cabrera_photography_0006saratogo_wedding_photos_norma_cabrera_photography_0007saratogo_wedding_photos_norma_cabrera_photography_0008The brides friend/co worker traveled with this Vintage car all the way from Hilmar, CA to San Jose, CA because she had her heart set that she wanted her freind to be photographed with it. How cute are these little ones styled in a Boho look! Alina and Micah share such a sweet sibling love. There love came to life as I captured these special moments in their life. Alina is only 2 and Micah is 4. It’s so important to document every year as they are growing when they are this little. These years go by way too fast and are too precious not to document them.
