Mexican Charro Wedding: Vanessa + Manuel

Vanessa and Manuel love the Charro Lifestyle and what more than to have a Mexican Charro theme wedding. This wedding brought back so many memories of my childhood when we would travel to Mexico every year for the Holidays. My grandfather was and is a Charro and I would love attending his Charreada’s and watching him in his full glory. Through out the entire wedding I kept thinking of my Papa Lalo.

Vanessa wore cowboy boots for the reception along with a beautiful white rebozo. All her bridesmaids wore grey rebozo’s as well.

My heart melted when I saw his outfit. I remember laying out my grandpa’s outfits on his bed and handing him his espuelas as we would get ready for the charreada’s.

The groom traveled to church on his horse along with all his groomsmen and the mariachi behind them. Manuel beamed as he danced his horse.

The flower vases which were Jarros de Cantaro were imported from Mexico. mexican_charro_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0009 Veil was designed by the bride and ordered from Guadalajara.

mexican_charro_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0022 All the reception center pieces and custom monogramed drink cantarritos (which they designed) were aslo from Mexcio.The rings were a gift from the grooms sister and brother in-law.Candy table was designed by the groms aunt. Of course they had there favorite treat, shaved ice!

They wanted it to be traditional Mexican and they designed the reception to look like a mini plaza with the fountain and everything! mexican_charro_wedding_photos_cabrera_photography_0045 They had they’re horse dancing in the background as the band played all night for them.

All the single girls received veils for the Vivora dance. To a surprise of the dancers they were stopped along the way for a tequila shot!

Country Rustic Maternity Photos: Liz + Brad

I love the simplicity organic feel of Liz and Brad’s maternity session. They wanted a more rustic country feel for their first babies maternity shoot. The sun glowed upon them as they cherished this time in their lives.

Galletto’s Modesto Wedding: Oni + Enrique

Oni and Enrique chose to get married at Galletto’s in Modesto CA, one of their favorite restaurants. The Ceremony was beautifully held in the outside terrace of the restaurant and their formal dinner took place down below in the cellar. This was my smallest wedding I have ever photographed with a total of 26 guests. It was very intimate and they got to enjoy the day with all their closest loved ones. Oni was telling me a little story of how they met and that she was very hesitant about Enrique. Enrique showed so much interest in her but Oni just wouldn’t let the relationship blossom. Finally Oni let him into her heart and their wedding love story has begun! galletos_modesto_wedding_photos_o+e_0001 Oni’s closest friends unfortunately couldn’t make it to the wedding so she carried a photo of them by her side.Little Zoe wanted to get into the photo shoot as well! Oni’s daughters helped the groom get ready.And a sixpence in the shoe for wealth and good fortune. galletos_modesto_wedding_photos_o+e_0006 A little prayer with her two daughter’s before they walk her down the aisle. Emotions were running high. Joyfull mom’s seeing their children getting married.Lot’s of laugh’s were shared during dinner.

San Francisco Palace of Fine Arts Engagement: Georganne + Alex

I remember when I first meet Georganne and Alex. They were both giddy and full of joy about their wedding. The day has finally arrived and I get to photograph this beautiful couple tomorrow! I know we are going to have a blast. People always ask me if weddings are stressful or how I handle the stress and quite honestly weddings are so fun for me. I love capturing all the special moments that only happen once I’m the lucky one to see it through my lense. We traveled north to San Francisco for their engagement photos and photographed at the stunning Palace of Fine Arts as well as Baker Beach with the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge in the background and ended the night at the romantic Pier. san_francisco_engagement_photos_Baker_Beach_0001
